EHP yearly presentation. Our last stage!
From choosing the script,making a lot of props and designing the poster,we did all of these things by ourselves.
Although the process was rough,making the show wonderful was our priority.
Because it was the last year of EHP,we spent many time and put all effort working on the play.We tried our best to make the play more perfect!
The actors and actresses performed dramatically amazing,they did well without any mistake.
When the audience applauded,the curtain put down,we all took a bow on the stage.
In the end,hope you have a great summer vacation and thank you a lot for this semester~~

Liam was put under house arrest for lightly biting a lady on her ankle.
2. What could happen to a dog if it’s a “serious” bite?
If a dog commits a “serious” bite, he could not avoid "death punishment".

3. Why was Liam excused from a more serious punishment?

Liam was excused from a more serious punishment because the woman had entered the yard without permission,and Liam had no previous history of biting people.

Avengers: Infinity War is a 2018 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team the Avengers.

The Avengers and their allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.This time,the heroes actually lose,they fail to stop Thanos from obtaining all six infinity stones, and with the snap of his finger Thanos instantly turns half of the universe’s population to dust.Spider-Man, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Winter Soldier, Falcon, Scarlet Witch, and most of the Guardians of the Galaxy fade into the wind.After watching it,I felt satisfied with it!

1. Why did many American women during this time use old flour sacks to make clothing for their families? 
Many American women would make clothing for the families from old flour sacks because their prized possessions was her sewing machine.
5. In what ways was the United States closely involved with life in Taiwan before 1972?
There were US Air Force and Naval Personnel stationed in Taiwan,and Taiwan benefited from various kind of aid programs from the US.
6. Why were the flour bags in Taiwan used to make clothing for boys, but not for girls?
The fabric was considered to be too coarse and rough to be suitable for girls.

We went to National Taipei University of Arts to take photos of our posters.Fortunately,the weather was pretty good yesterday.Although it was really tired,we still had much fun!

letter20: ABOUT TRIPS!

Dear Tim,

We are also going to take an annual trip(a trip that celebrates our graduation of high schoo) in the end of June.Our destination will be Kenting,which is the southest of Taiwan,and has great tropical sea landscape.I've been to Pingtung with my family several years ago.Its first impression for me is the high temprature and burning sun.Having tropical climate, Kenting’s summers are usually hot. In winter, the pleasant whether in Kenting keeps beaches here open all year round.And I want to introduce something about Kenting:

Kenting is a place for you to see the azure sky and the wide sea. You can play volleyball on the sand or swim in the blue ocean during daytime.(We may do this in our trip!) After that, you can go shopping in Kenting Street at night, the street grows even busier as the night goes on. Seafood is famous in Kenting, roast squid、roast fish and the huge ice cream are often chosen by Kenting travellers. 

After spend a day in Pingtung,heading to its neighbor,Kaohsiung,is the best choice!Kaoshung can be said to be the symbolization in southern Taiwan.My favorite place is the amusement park there.
The E-DA Theme Park is south Taiwan's largest theme park, and combines many exciting, enjoyable rides, restaurants, snack streets, famous department stores and two high-end restaurants, forming a hugely varied leisure resort. The E-DA Theme Park has recently begun holding New Year activities which draw visitors from all over Taiwan who fall over each other to attend them.

letter19: A WRAP-UP PRESENTATION!

There was a presentation that my friend held in National Taiwan Normal University.Pop music is their majority.Through the amazing performance,it was obvious that they worked hard in this campaign.

Some of my classmates go to school at 7:00 recently,because we have a volleyball game on 4/17.

They practiced skills almost everyday.

letter18: THE REUNION!

Dear Tim,
We have a five-day holiday on Children's Day and Tomb Sweeping Day.
By traditional,people should prepare some fruit and ghost money to worship their ancestor.In my family,only adults needs to go tomb sweeping,so I don't really understand this do much.

We  had a small reunion with my bosom friends on the Children's Day.Singing karaoke,shooting the breeze and having some snacks are always our favorite recreation.I spent amazing time being with them!

Dear Tim,
I've been released from the hospital recently.Because of the immune system problem,it is a difficult mission for me to draw blood.I really hate to have blood test!When you have a drip infusion,it is not convenient to do anything,even just take a shower or eat snacks.

letter16: TOILET PAPER!

Dear Tim,
I had to admit that I didn't pay much attention to the price of toilet paper.The press spread the exaggerate message and made the consumers have ''panic buying''. Actually,I think it's a marketing strategy that the businessmen used to earn profit.No matter how expensive the toilet paper is,we still need it when sneezing,wiping something dirty,and so forth.
BTW,my mom bought a carton of toilet paper for fear that the price getting higher.

It's been a while since I update my blog last time.
Due to my health condition,I may update a little bit slowly.Hope you don't mind!
Also,I spent almost winter vacation going to the hospital.I think it was the most monotonous vacation.

Today is the 7th of 2018.However,I was just released from the hospital.
The life in the hospital is a little bit boring.
Finding a disease last summer,I need to regularly back to see a doctor.
BTW,the meal in the hospital is soooooo terrible than I never imagine.

letter13: HAPPY 2018!

Dear Tim,
Time flies like an arrow,it's almost the end of 2017.
In this year,I turned into a 17-year-old girl,joined the EHP family,and made friends with more people.
Tonight(12/31),I am going to watch the live performance from news,waiting for 2018!The weather in Taipei is freezing cold these days,as a result,I would rather stay in bed than go to Taipei 101.

About my new year wishes and resolutions,I hope that I can do something which I never tried before,for example,going on a trip by myself!
When it comes to my 2017,there are so many matters I appreciate.

Dear Tim,
In most of Asian countries,for instance,Taiwan,Korea and Japan,we reckoned Christmas rather as a religious festival.December 25 is a public holiday by western influence expanded lately by commercial inroads into the culture. December 25 also is an official holiday as the Constitution Day.

Additionally,Santa is called 聖誕老人 (shèngdànlǎorén) and he is often accompanied in Taiwan with his reindeer and dressed in red and white. In Hong Kong, Santa is called Lan Khoong or Dun Che Lao Ren which translates to “Christmas Old Man”. 

As usual,there's a Christmas tree in the lobby of our community.

Besides the tree,we also decorated the garden by LED lights.There are two reindeer in the picture.

1. What is the “liturgical calendar” of the Catholic Church?

#The calendar filled with "saints days","feast days","holy days of obligation",and"liturgical seasons".

2.Where do the “natural” Christmas trees come from, and why will  they probably cost a little more this year?

#Most of the trees are actually grown in Washington and Oregon.It takes about 10 years to grow a Christmas tree to about six feet tall.Because there was a Great Recession 10 years ago,while a lot of people didn't buy a natural Christmas tree.As a result,the tree farmer didn't plant as many new trees that year,so now there's Christmas tree shortage.


1.In Mexico, what is a “Chili”?  What is “chili” in the United States? 
#Mexicans use the word "Chili" when speaking about any one of about 100 different type of peppers,which in the US is a dish.

2.What is masa?  What is the difference between masa and corn meal?
#Masa is a much finer grind ,like a regular flour.Corn meal is coarser,and may not be suitable for many recipes.

3. What is the ingredient that will determine is your salsa is “mild” or “hot”? 
#Add as many diced peppers as you dare to get the degree of "spicy" that you like.
