Dear Tim:
1. At the University of Iowa, what parts of the University of Iowa are located on the south side of the Iowa River, and, in Mr. Maher’s ancient days at the University, what was located on the north side of the river?
#The parts of the university of Iowa that are on the south side of the river are most of the academic departments and classroom buildings, along with beautiful downtown Iowa city. In Mr. Maher’s ancient days at the University, the parts of the University on the north side of the University were the men's domitories, the hospitals, and the athletic department, along the football stadium and all of the other athletic fields and buildings.
2. Why is Chloe considered to be the “Queen of the House”?
#Chloe should be considered the Queen of the House because she goes where she wants to go,and does she wants to do,and all of the dogs just let her.She will casually stroll into the kitchen, sauntering all of the resting dogs.Chloe doesn't get her own dish of food because she eats out everybody's dish.
3. Where do “typhoons” happen, and where do “hurricanes” happen?
#Typhoons slammed into Hong Kong and Macau and then moved to south China.Hurricanes wiped out the Gulf Coast of Texas.
Tonight,we went to TAS to watch a drama presents. It was my first time to have such a memorable experience:going to TAS and watching a show!
The theme of the show was TWELFTH NIGHT,by William Shakespeare.
Actually,we had already read this story in class,so we could watch the show smoothly.During the show, the actors and actress on the stage were very into the role, used exaggerated gesture and humorous intonation.
I was absolutely appreciated that I could have a chance visiting the whole fresh world.
I had already got excited about the next years' show!
What a incredible night!!!!!!

Dear Amy,
ReplyDeleteThe trip to TAS for the play must have been a very enjoyable experience! Was it at the TAS school, or some theater? Did your entire class get to go? Were there any other ZZHS students there? Did you get to talk to any of the cast members or other TAS students while you were there.
Are most of the students at TAS Americans and Europeans, or do a lot of Taiwanese go to school there? Did they compliment you (the ZZHS students on your English?
Did you enjoy the play? Was it hard to understand?
